Imperial Garden Mahjong Decoupage Glass Tray

This tray gathers a tableau of Imperial Mahjong tiles—floral emblems, scholars, creatures and symbols—each one a small meditation on fortune, resilience, and grace.

Handcrafted in Ben's Garden, New York Studio, using the French tradition of decoupage, the artwork is laid in reverse beneath glass so every brushstroke and softened patina glows with depth. The bent-glass form gives the piece weight and presence and each tray is an heirloom in the making.

Food-safe and wipe-clean with a felted back, it moves effortlessly from game night to gallery wall—serving tea beside delicate sweets, holding correspondence on a desk, or standing upright like a framed treasure from a collector’s cabinet.
