Exclusive! “The Jewish Zodiac™” Placemat
Sitting in a Chinese restaurant one day, Seth Front pondered the placemat on the table and wondered what “The Jewish Zodiac™” would look like… and here we have it! A deli food parody of the Chinese zodiac using the 12 most iconic Jewish foods: egg creams, bagels, lox, schmear, chopped liver, pastrami, pickles, knish, black and white cookies, latke, blintz, chicken soup. Each of the 12 signs (based on birth year) would, in a light-hearted way, personify the food’s characteristics as well as explore compatability with the other 11 signs.
BTW, that experience also resulted in a humorous and educational program about the history of Jews in America from 1880 to the present.
Seth Front is a comedian and rabbi’s son who uses humor to emotionally connect Jews to their heritage and faith. He turned a joke about a deli food zodiac into a clever gift.
