Tart with a strong apricot taste, this Poppy Apricot Jam goes wonderfully on toast with cream cheese or goat cheese, as a glaze, in salad dressings, or to rim cocktail glasses with. It also makes a wonderful base for cooking with chicken combined with ingredients such as garlic, ginger, and soy sauce. The Poppy Apricot is an early variety that gets its name for having coloring similar to that of the California state flower, the Golden Poppy.
One of Zagat's "20 L.A. Food Artisans You Need To Know", Coldwater Canyon Provisions handcrafts each vegan-friendly and gluten-free jam and jelly. Every flavorful creation is made with the finest California family-farmed, pesticide-free produce using purveyor Rondo Mieczkowski's Polish grandmother's heirloom recipes. All products from the North Hollywood-based company are prepared and packaged in Mason jars in the city of Pasadena. A portion of all proceeds goes to Under the Bridges and In the Streets, a non-profit organization dedicated toward feeding L.A. County's homeless community.

Shelf life: All unopened jams can last up to two years. Once opened, most jams can last for several months. Refrigerate after opening.
