Each of these exclusive prints features a close-up photograph of one of the fanciful animals aboard Noah's Ark at the Skirball, along with the designer's preliminary concept drawing of that animal. These glimpses at the making of these one-of-a-kind figures and puppets fascinate children and adults alike. Made from repurposed and recycled materials, each animal is a creative inspiration!
The animals in Noah's Ark at the Skirball were created by Alan Maskin, principal of architectural firm Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen of Seattle, working closely with Brooklyn-based artist Christopher Green and custom fabrication house Lexington.
This collection of prints was displayed as part of the exhibition All Aboard! Arks and Animals at the Skirball, on view at the Skirball in September 2008.
